Blog suggestions

Hi everyone.

It's the last day of January and it's my birthday tomorrow, can't wait for my birthday weekend!

Since I've been getting back into blogging after a few years of not really blogging, I would like to find new bloggers (beauty, fashion, lifestyle, food, travel, etc...)

So, if you could leave some suggestions, that would be amazing!

MAC satin lipstick ''Verve''

Hi everyone!

Today I'll be reviewing my latest MAC lipstick: Verve!  This dark nude berry mauve and brownish pink lipstick is perfect for someone that likes wearing dark colours but still keep low-key.  It is vampy yet neutral, if that makes any sense.

As always, I love the vanilla cupcake scent that all MAC lipsticks has... So yummy! (for some reason, I feel like the smell is stronger with Verve!)

The staying power of this lipstick is great and is very easy to work with.. although you might need lip liner if you want to be more precise as its really pigmented.

The texture is ultra creamy. It is also very pigmented.

Overall, such a pretty colour that I adore... this might be my new holy grail! Xx

Review | MAC lipstick "Velvet Teddy"

post signatureHi everyone!

Today I'll be reviewing one of the latest MAC product to enter my collection, the famous Velvet Teddy lipstick (Kylie Jenner, anyone?). I'm most likely surprised it wasn't sold out when I went to MAC. Anyways, these kind of shade are just my favorite to wear everyday...

Velvet Teddy is a matte browny mauve. For a matte lipstick, it is really soft and smooth. I will have to try this with MAC's Whirl lipliner. It has a great lasting power, stays for a few hours before needing to be reapplied.

Also, the MAC packaging is so classy, right? I just love it!

Here's a swatch of the lovely Velvet Teddy, it doesn't really seem matte, but I promise it is... it doesn't dries out and the texture is great for a matte lipstick.

Overall, it's a great lipstick for everyday wear. One of my new favorites/forever repurchasing Velvet Teddy.

2016 | Thoughts, Goals & Resolutions

post signatureHey everyone. Hope I'm not too late for post. (better late than never, right?!)

Well, well, 2016. What can I say? A brand new year, that sounds quite hopeful. The year that I turn 23 (February 1st - what? so soon... *perks of having your birthday at the beginning of the year*)... I'm sad to say that Taylor Swift - 22 won't be my theme song anymore (but forever in my heart). I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22. Forever 22.

I'm truly hoping that 2016, I meet great new people, travel a lot, discover new things, keep up with my goals & resolutions, do new projects,... etc.

| Goals & Resolutions for 2016 |

  • Workout regularly & eat healthier - I know this might be everyones resolutions, but I see it more as a lifestyle change than a diet!
  • Read more - I used to read a lot but I have the trouble to find the time to do it. So, heres to hoping I read the new books and magazines I have.
  • Take more pictures - This too, I used to take so many pictures but not having enough time makes me not do it. I need to get back to photography as well. And up my blog photography game.
  • Go to a concert - I'd like to go see a band I really like (Kings of Leon, Panic! At The Disco, The Neighbourhood... etc.) even if it means travelling for hours. Also, I'd love to go to a music festival this summer.
  • Save money - This is something I really to do this year.
  • Blog more - You might not think of it that way but blogging is really time consuming, but I love it and I really want to blog more this year!! I really want to make my blog bigger & better in 2016...
  • Travel more - I really like to go places I've never been to before & take the plane, train...
  • Get back into dancing & practice my guitar skills - I miss it so much.
I have so many more goals, resolutions but this list would never end so ahah! xX

hello December!

post signature
Hello December! It is now time to eat chocolate everyday from our chocolate calendar; counting down the days 'til Christmas.

I can't believe we are already December & that Christmas is a few weeks away! Where did 2015 even go?! I have barely started shopping for Christmas gifts; I think I'll be going Christmas shopping today. And to believe that 2016 is a month away blows my mind.

I'm so excited about decorating and making my room cozy. I love hearing Christmas music while shopping.

I'm a big Christmas lover and enjoy doing anything related to Christmas. I even bought a Christmas CD, and I think that now that it's December it's acceptable to listen to it.

I'm also looking for ideas for winter/christmas related blog post. So any ideas will be appreciated.

Anyways, can't believe it's now time to use my Twisted Peppermint & Vanilla Beam Noel candle from Bath & body works. I hope everyone has a great month of December, counting down the days 'til the magical day of Christmas...

Yves Rocher | Haul

Hi everyone! Lately I've slowly started shopping a bit... it's the effect Christmas has on me haha! I'll show you what I bought at Yves Rocher, a store I love... Yves Rocher is an amazing store that has amazing products/offer. You basically always get tons of gifts, free products, 50% off of some products, samples, it's heaven for a beauty lover like me. Their product are amazing as well. Many of them are staples of mine. So anyways, here's what I bought/received as a gift, the last time I visited Yves Rocher...

3 min. Cranberry Cooling Effect Mask | I've been wanting to try this one for a while. During the winter time, a mask that makes my face looks glowy/radiant? uhm, how about yes?

Micellar Cleansing Water | This is staple for me. Much more affordable than Bioderma. This removes everything and smells so good. Leaves my skin feeling fresh and revitalized. It feels great on the skin. I love that you can use it on your eyes/face/lips. I need an endless supply of this.

Apple Delight Shimmering body lotion | This was a free gift. It smells amazing, apples and vanilla? Yum.  Can't wait to try it. A shimmering body lotion, sounds nice for the holidays!

Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Serum | As I don't have a Yves Rocher in town, whenever I'm there it means stocking up time! So naturally, I had to get one of my favorite serum. This is a repurchase for me. I had one half off and one as a free gift! YAY :)

Spicy Vanilla Shower & Bath Gel | Anything vanilla speaks to me. This one smells delicious and I cannot wait to try it during the holidays.

Organic Vanilla Shower Gel | I have the body mist of this and I adore the smell. I wanted to buy a full size body wash to try it, but the girl at the counter told me I could get a free small one of various scents, so I took this one.. of course!

Free bracelets & a coin gold and black bag, samples of Sebo Vegetal Mattifying Gel Cream & comme une Evidence perfume

Next up are the Fizzy bath cubes; I've been wanting to try one for a while, so I picked some up! I picked: Raspberry, Vanilla & Apple Delight! Can't wait to try them!! I'm gonna try one tonight, not sure which one yet... :)

Hope you enjoyed looking through my haul! If you love Yves Rocher as much as me, please feel to let me know your favorite products in the comments! :) xx

Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Tiki

post signatureHi beauties! Hope you all had a lovely week.

So, today I'll be reviewing one of the product I love for this season: the Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Tiki.

This light bronze golden champagne highlighter has been said to be a dupe for MAC's Soft & Gentle; which a way cheaper alternative! This highlighter is perfect for a bronzey, glowy look. Hard Candy calls it a bronzer, but I see it as a highlighter...

What I love about this highlighter is that it looks really natural, but you can also build it up. I use it on my cheekbones and sometimes under my eyebrows, but you can use it on your cupids bow, nose and any other area you'd like to highlight.

For the prize, you get a quality product and a never-ending quantity of it. It's super easy to work with and it last all day as well. It's shimmery but not glittery.

This week I've been loving...

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week!

I've been trying to use different product every few weeks, so I can rediscover some products I already have! So let's see what I've been loving this week...

Whenever the season changes, I like to change my perfume, one of them is the PINK Warm & Cozy body mist. I don't know, I love this smell for the colder weather and it just makes me happy. It smells like warm vanilla and cotton candy. It's not really fruity, more fresh.  On my lips, I've been wearing the NYX butter gloss in Eclair.  This is a great natural light pink for everyday wear. I love the formulation of the butter glosses and I really want to try more of them. It's not sticky at all and it has a nice smell! Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara is a great mascara for volume. The cobra brush helps to get every lashes... Plus, the packaging is like adorable. MAC Gingerly blush is one of my favorite blush ever. As I'm losing my summer tan I'm looking for ways to always a glow and this is the way to go. It's super easy to work with as it works as a blush/bronzer. It's a peachy/brown blush. It looks very natural. MAC lipstick in Brave is a staple for me. This pink nude is great for everyday wear. Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita is amazing. Of course, I will buy the full size one when I'm done with this one. The formula is amazing and last a good few hours.  This color would look great on everyone. You'll get a lot of compliments. I think this might be my favorite lipstick product of all time! Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronze is a great bronzer. I've been using this quite a lot and on the plus side, it smells like chocolate! Yummy!

Bourjois 1 seconde nail polish | Turquoise Block

If you know me, you know that I own way too many turquoise things. It's one of my favorite color alongside coral.

My sister actually bought this for my birthday, she knows me well, right? So you guessed it, I love this color. A bright turquoise/aquamarine is right up my alley. This doesn't look like anything I already have.

As I mentioned, I love the color but I also love the 'gel/silicone-like' formula. It is opaque in just one coat. And with the panoramic brush, the application is so easy. It dries super quick as well.

The only downside to this beaut' is that it start chipping after 2-3 days. But on a more positive note, it's quick to apply, dries fast and is gorgeous.

MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Silver Sun

It's no secret that MAC eyeshadows are one of the most popular eyeshadows on the market. Why wouldn't they be? They're pigmented, smooth, last all day and have huge selection of beautiful, original colors.

My latest MAC eyeshadow is an Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Silver Sun.  Silver Sun is a beautiful, unique that I don't have in my collection, it's a midtone dirty seafoam green.

Extra Dimensions eyeshadows are beautifully pigmented and can be used wet or dry. Let's not lie, this collection has a beautiful imprint that doesn't go away easily - YAY!

It's beautiful with brown eyes - works well with colors like shimmery browns, matte browns, darker greens, purples, blacks and golds.

Silver Sun stays on all day. It's super smooth - easy to work with. Also, blends really well.

Even if it looks shimmery in the picture above, it doesn't look like this on the eyelid. So don't worry about having any fallouts!

Final thoughts || Great eyeshadow and amazing color. One of my most used eyeshadow at the moment. I really want to try more eyeshadows from the Extra Dimensions line. Please tell me in the comments if you have any suggestions!

Have a great morning/day/night/whenever you're reading this! Smile, discover new things and meet new cool people!
