Avène Soothing hydrating serum

Lately, I've been having problems with very dry skin. Escentual.com were looking for some bloggers to review the Avène Soothing hydrating serum*. This product seemed like the perfect product for my skin type so I contacted them right away! I'm so happy I got to discover this product cause it works wonder for my skin type.

Having dry and sensitive skin - this is the perfect serum for me! But it works with all skin types. This serum has a silky gel-like texture and soothes and moisturizes. I've been using the Avène Soothing hydrating serum* for the past two weeks and my skin feels more smooth, hydrated, soft, refreshed and less dull.

This serum is highly concentrated with Avène's Thermal Spring water which help soothe and calm irritated and deshydrated skin. Also it very easy to work with - sinks right in and doesn't feel greasy and sticky.

For the packaging, I love that it comes with a pump and the packaging itself looks classy. It has a light smell that is not too overpowering.

I've been using this for the past two weeks, and my skin is feeling hydrated, smooth and less dry. Usually, I apply this after my cleanser, and then I apply a moisturiser. I would surely repurchase this and I'm very tempted to try other products by Avène, especially their Eau thermale!

If you have dry and sensitive skin I would highly suggest the Avène Soothing hydrating serum. Escentual is a great place to get French skincare brand like Avène, La Roche Posay and Clarins.

Revlon Colorburst // Matte + Lacquer balm

Hi! Today, I'll be reviewing the new Revlon Colorburst: Matte + Lacquer balm. I have a matte and a lacquer one to talk about. The first one, which is a matte balm is Unapologetic (matte bright coral). The second one, which is a lacquer balm is Coquette. (glossy soft bright pink with silver shimmer)  The new Revlon Colorburst Balms are very similar to the very popular Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Stain, but not the same textures.

First of, I really like how the packaging matches if it's matte or a lacquer. The application is great plus they are very pigmented. I feel like they don't stay on quite as well as the original balm stains, especially the lacquer one. They have a slight minty smell to it, but not too overpowering.

Unapologetic (matte bright coral): For a matte balm, I really like the fact that its not drying at all. Unapologetic is super bright and pigmented. This one will be perfect for the spring/summer.

Coquette (glossy soft bright pink): This one is great for everyday wear. The only downside is that is doesn't have a good staying power.

Overall, they are very great products. Very pigmented, very easy to work and very pretty shades. The only downside is the fact that they don't stay on for that long...
