Empties #5

Hi everyone! I haven't realized I haven't blogged for the past 7 days! Time seems to go by so quickly that I just don't realize!

Today, I'll be doing an empties post!

1.  Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Sandstorm.
This is one powder that I constantly go back to, it's not expensive and it works pretty well. I've been using this since high school and whenever I don't know which powder to buy I go to this one.

2. Physicians Formula Organic Wear Pressed Powder.
Another powder - I wish I could finish my other beauty products as fast as powder ahah! Anyways, this powder was good, but not AMAZING for me to run out and repurchase. The packaging was in like thin carton or something and the cover broke...

3. Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Fluff Hand Sanitizer.
I love those! I'm obsessed with B&BW hand sanitizer. This one smells really good. I love the PocketBac ones but I also like the pump ones. I'm also almost done using another one...

4. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum.
This is a pre-moisturiser treatment. It's really great. This has been the product that made me obsessed with serums. I also really want to try more of The Body Shop's vitamin E range.

5. Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff eye roller.
I really like using this! It actually works and really wakes you up in the morning. I will surely repurchase it once I'm done using all my eye creams.

Products I regret buying

I think it's great to have good review on our blogs. But it's also important to inform our readers what we don't really like. And that's what I'm doing today.

First off, the least that I'm trying to do is give those brands a bad reputation. They are all great brands that I support and some of them are my favorite brands! The products that I'm featuring might be a favorite for you, makeup doesn't always work the same way for everyone. Might not work for me, but might work for you. :)

SWATCHES, From left to right starting with Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer to a few swatches of Physicians Formula Casual Palette.

1. Lise Watier Magnifix Make-Up Fixative with White Tea
This makeup fixative just doesn't work for my skin. After applying my makeup I spray this on my face and it gives my skin the sensation that it's burning or something, very not pleasant. The other day, it had contact with my eyes; my eyes got so teary that all my eye makeup was practically ruined and I was in a rush so I had to fix it pretty quick!! It doesn't really remove the powdery effect off of my skin which I want I usually buy a make-up fixative for.

2. Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara
This mascara basically did nothing for my eyelashes other than barely add black to my lashes. It doesn't add lenght or volume, just adds color. That's not what I'm looking for in a mascara! Alot of people seem to love this mascara...  I can't see why. The packaging is pretty though, that's the least I can say! Around here, Bourjois is pretty rare to find. So I was super excited to try this mascara. One thing that I do hope is that it hasn't been on the shelf for too long and dried out or something like that...

3. Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer
I always get excited about trying out drugstore primer because they are pretty rare. But my excitement didn't last long. This primer creases like crazy after only a few hours. It looks worst than if I actually had NO primer at all... I do not recommend this product at all.

4. Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in Nude Candy
This color looks super pretty in the tube. But on the lips, not at all. The application is the worst: goes in every lines on your lips and is patchy. Makes me look so dull/sick.  The texture is not interesting at all. The only thing I like about it is the smell.

5. Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Brilliant Bordeaux
The moment I applied this liquid lipstick I thought this was the best thing ever/best color for me/etc. (and the people that were with me thought so too!) At first the color seems to go on evenly but just wait a few minutes, quickly enough, it dried up and got that splotchy look and wasn't even the same color everywhere (lighter and darker). It's not comfortable on the lips at ALL. It's super sticky! The color is absolutely gorgeous but the texture/application is the WORST ever.

6. Almay Liquid Lip balm in Pink Pout
Not the worst product ever. It's just that I feel like it does nothing for me. The color seemed bright in the packaging but it's very, very, very sheer with almost no effect of a gloss. I didn't notice any improvement with the condition of my lips while using it. But it does have a nice texture and feels comfortable on the lips!

7. Physicians Formula Casual Palette
I was always intrigued by this palette. I tought the colors looked cool together! Aha! So when I got it on sale for about .93cent, I was more than pleased to try it! Most of these eyeshadows are dry, super sheer and chalky. I looked for swatches online and they looked more pigmented than mine! I just hope it wasn't on sale because it has been on the shelf for too long...

Under 15 minutes make up

Hi beauties! Lately I've been super busy and have had no time to actually take time to do/experiment with my make up (which I love doing!). So I will be explaining you how I reach a make up that looks like you've spent alot of time on it, but it will just take 15 minutes! This look will feature a flawless, natural face and one eye product that can make a wonderful eye look on its own.
#1) Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla #2) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer #3) Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder #4) Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia #5) Lise Watier Sweet Lips Yummy Lip Balm in Berries #6)Benefit They're Real Mascara #7) Maybelline Master Duo Eyeliner

First off, I apply my Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. If I am not in a big rush, I will blend it in with Real Techniques brush. Then I apply my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on my under eyes circle and imperfections. To set my foundation and concealer, I am using my current go to powder that I absolutely adore: Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder. Then, I move on to the eyes. So if I'm running late I don't want to take alot of time doing eye makeup, but as an eyeshadow lover, I don't feel right without something on my eyelids. Lately I've been picking out Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia which I absolutely adore, just sweep it across your lids and it looks like you've took a few extra minutes to do your makeup! I usually apply this at the beginning: Lise Watier Sweet Lips in Berries, which is nice pick me up in the morning: such a lovely smell and super moisturizing. I actually apply eyeliner before mascara; but the mascara I've been using lately is Benefit They're Real. And last but not least: eyeliner. This part may be hard to do if you're an a rush and a beginner but the Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Eyeliner is great, I barely never mess up my eyeliner, which is always a plus early in the morning, right?

April favorites

Hi lovelies! Crazy how this year is going by! Can't believe it, feels like just yesterday it was January. In the month of April, I've been sick for almost like 3-4 weeks. So glad to be feeling better! So I haven't had the chance to experiment with a lot of makeup, so I'm sorry about that.

Revlon Brow Fantasy in Brunette: I really believe that doing your brows can frame/change your makeup. This includes pencil and a colored brow gel. If you're eyebrows are pale like me, or you just want more definition; this will be your best friend - two steps and voilà! It will make your eyebrows stand more while still looking natural, if that makes any sense.

Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude: This is great to wear on the waterline. It does not stay on all day but there's no eyeliner this color on the market (I think) so for the price, we can't complain.

Maybelline Masterduo by Eyestudio liquid eyeliner: This dual tip eyeliner is great for cat eyes/winged eyeliner. A super pigmented black and glossy eyeliner. You can use either the flat disc side for a thick dramatic line or just turn it around and get a more sophisticated thin line.

Benefit They're Real mascara:  One of my all time favorite mascara. I'm almost out of this and I'm gonna buy the full size once I run out. This is such a jet-black/glossy mascara. Volume/length. The custom-domed is one thing that makes this mascara outstanding: you can get precise applications for those tiny lashes you can't usually get.

Maybelline Vivids: I love these! They are perfect for Spring/Summer. For now, I have two: Fuchsia Flash and Pink Pop. I don't want to do a mini review right now, cause I plan on doing a full review soon - I want some more! What are your favorites?

Lise Watier: Ombre Soufflé Supreme in Taupe Fantasia: Lise Watier, I believe, is a brand that is only sold in Canada. This, is such an unique product. Never anything quite like it yet: Long lasting eyeshadow part cream/part mousse. It's a light airy formula.

Physicians Formula eyeshadow palette in Nude: This palette comes with 9 eyeshadow, separated by sections of 3 to create 3 different looks, but you can surely mix and match and create your own looks. This palette contains neutral/nude eyeshadows. When you swatch them they don't seem that pigmented but all together they look gorgeous!

Evian Facial Spray: I went through 2-3 bottles of these. I always get great deals on them! This facial spray moisturizes, refreshes and tones. It can also help to fix makeup. This is a great facial spray, especially for the Spring/Summer, I recommend it to everyone.

Hope you enjoyed my April favorites. What did you liked using during the month of April? x
