Current Essentials

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great summer! Today I will be talking to you about the products I feel like I NEED in my life! haha!

First off, Urban Decay Naked Basics / I adore this multi tasking palette. I'm a big fan of Urban Decay's Naked line. I can use this palette for a daily eye (& night) makeup look, for my eyebrows I use faint, for my under eye I can use foxy and as a liner I can use crave. Need I say more why it's an essential?!

NYX butter gloss / Those two colors are super natural and easy to apply on the go. I love the soft non-sticky texture of these. It feels more like a balm, but looks glossy like lipgloss. They are pigmented enough while remaining natural. They have a great smell as well.

Maybelline Color tattoo in Bad to the bronze / I love this long-lasting bronzey cream shadow. I love using this as an everyday eyeshadow. Whenever you're in a rush, you just need to use this and it will look as if you spent alot of time on your eyeshadow look.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder / I use this powder everyday - it works wonder. For the low price, I can't complain. Specially for the summer, it controls shine.

MAC pro longwear paintpot in Bare Study / This a staple for many people, a pretty beige champagne eyeshadow cream. Easy to work with, just apply it all over your lid and a light brown in the crease and you're ready to go.

MAC blush in Gingerly / This blush is great for the summer - it can act as a blush and a bronzer. Super easy and quick to use.

Benefit Gimme Brow fiber gel / This brow fiber gel is great. Helps your brows stay in place and look more volumised.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion / This product is one of my all time must have product. Whenever I wear eyeshadow I need my primer potion, otherwise my eyeshadow will crease. This will make your eyeshadow creaseless and make the color appear more vibrant!

Currently loving | Beauty ♡

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. Today I'm here to talk about what beauty products I'm currently loving.

Maybelline Baby skin instant pore eraser | A great cheap drugstore alternative to high end, can't say it's comparable to high end, but it's still great, and does it's job!

Benefit High Beam | A classic. One of my favorite highlighter - can't go wrong with it. Gives a great healthy glow. I love the color of it.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil | This matte, no shimmer bronzer is great. And the smell? Even greater. A bronzer that smells like chocolate!? Uhm, yes please!

Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude | A great eyeliner for the waterline, easy to work with and very smooth.

Kate Von D Esperanza eyeshadow palette | Don't let the color selection fool you. It was actually on special at Sephora when I bought it, the color didn't look that much like something I would wear but I actually love it and wear it on a daily basis. I actually use all the color in this a lot, even the colourful ones sometimes. I love the shades galore and dog roses, and placebo (a coral) looks amazing in the crease, almost looks like a sunset haha! Anyways, amazing palette, and packaging! hehe

Wet n' Wild lipstick in Cherry picking | I believe that Wet n' Wild can do no wrong. This lipstick is so amazing and all the colours are beautiful (want mooore!) So pigmented, has great lasting power.

Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial | Love Apocalips. This color is so gorgeous. I really need to try more from this line.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar | This palette is amazing. Comes with 16 eyeshadows with matte & shimmer and shades of neutral/plums/pinks. And like the Milk Chocolate Soleil - it smells like chocolate! Yum.

Empties #5

Hi everyone! I haven't realized I haven't blogged for the past 7 days! Time seems to go by so quickly that I just don't realize!

Today, I'll be doing an empties post!

1.  Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Sandstorm.
This is one powder that I constantly go back to, it's not expensive and it works pretty well. I've been using this since high school and whenever I don't know which powder to buy I go to this one.

2. Physicians Formula Organic Wear Pressed Powder.
Another powder - I wish I could finish my other beauty products as fast as powder ahah! Anyways, this powder was good, but not AMAZING for me to run out and repurchase. The packaging was in like thin carton or something and the cover broke...

3. Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Fluff Hand Sanitizer.
I love those! I'm obsessed with B&BW hand sanitizer. This one smells really good. I love the PocketBac ones but I also like the pump ones. I'm also almost done using another one...

4. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum.
This is a pre-moisturiser treatment. It's really great. This has been the product that made me obsessed with serums. I also really want to try more of The Body Shop's vitamin E range.

5. Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff eye roller.
I really like using this! It actually works and really wakes you up in the morning. I will surely repurchase it once I'm done using all my eye creams.

The five products face

You know when you're running late and you have less than 15 minutes to get ready? Or maybe you just want to have a natural makeup with just 5 products? Then if you have these 5 products or similar ones, you're good to go!

So to start of, for face makeup, if I want a really natural makeup look, I'm not gonna use a foundation. I'll just use a concealer, one that I'm really loving at the moment is my Benefit Erase Paste to hide under eye circle or any other imperfection. For a finishing powder I would use my MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder to even out my skin tone. For blush, I would normally go with a light pink glowy blush like Rimmel's Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Pink Rose.

Now, for the eyes, eyeshadows would be the part we would skip. So I'd only use eyeliner, right now, I'm using L'Oréal Carbon Black Lineur Intense. To finish it off I'd use a voluminous mascara like Rimmel's Scandaleyes Showoff.

August Favorites 2013 ♡

Hi everyone! I can't believe how fast summer went by. I honestly feel like it's just started and now it's already September! I'm having my first day of class tomorrow at college! Yesterday was more like a welcome day and stuff. Soon, I'll do my Summer Favorites so be on the look out for that.

So let's get started! :)

♡Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial: I'm you've all heard about the Apocalips on all on the blogs and on Youtube. Apocalips feels like a lipgloss, but has the coverage of a lipstick. Super pigmented with a satin smooth shine. It has a different texture, it's like a velvety lip cream. Super creamy and opaque as well. Celestial is a pink mauve which is a great neutral pink(ish) color! If you want to know more on the Apocalips, I have a full review right here.

♡Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the bronze: Color Tattoos are another beauty product that is popular in the beauty world! Bad to the Bronze is a great color to put alone on your eyelid when you're in a hurry and it looks like you've spent time doing your eye makeup! On my eyelid, Bad to the Bronze looks like a neutral shimmery tan with a bronze. Which is gorgeous for a day-to-day eye makeup look or if enhanced with dark colors it can make a gorgeous smokey eye!

♡Bourjois Bronzing Powder: First off, how cool is that it looks like chocolate? But I honestly don't think it actually smell like chocolate just something sweet. It looks quite subtle and natural.

♡Maybelline Fit me! Shine-Free: This is perfect for me as it's something you can ready fast in the early morning. It looks very natural. The packaging makes it super convenient for touch up during the day! If you wanna know more, I have a full review about this right here.

♡Kat Von D Everlasting Face Shaper Blush in Por Vida: This is the latest blush to enter my collection and I love it! The color, pigmentation, staying power and texture makes it great. This blush is described as a warm pink, it's accurate, but I would say that there's hint of corals while adding a bit of a glow! It's super pigmented as well! I also have a full review on this blush right here.

From left to right: Bourjois Bronzing Powder, Kat Von D Blush in por Vida, Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad to the Bronze and Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial.

Random Walmart Haul

You're probably suprised right now. With the fact that I DO buy other things other than makeup/beauty related things. Although they're probably all considered 'beauty' except the CD's/DVD! Aha omg.. Makeup addict probs. But you get what I mean.

For the past few months I've been trying to save because I'm leaving for College in September. I've tried going less to the stores where I can spend too much (like Walmart). But I don't think it was a good idea, because, since I've been going less to the stores, I've been reading alot of blog posts and adding stuff to my 'to-buy list', so the things I want have just increased way moreee! So I don't think it's a good idea to stop buying stop to try to save money. I'm a shopaholic and I don't think there's a cure!!

As you can see, I've bought alot of things! I don't think that you want to hear about everything that isn't beauty related and it would be too much of a long post anyway. So I'll just do a resume about everything.

From left to right, The first thing is Calgon Moisturizing Shower & Foam Bath, which I have no idea why I bought, because I just bought Soap & Glory Foam Call (think I forgot or something), the smell is so wonderful anyways! I bought Listerine Fresh Burst Pocketpacks, those things are like a rectangle of something minty (?) that you put in your mouth and it just melts away and your mouth will feel so refreshed ahah! I used to buy those all the time when I was younger. :) I bought the Scunci Value Pack that comes with 28 elastics and 5 headbands, I bought this cause I needed some simple black headbands and elastics. I've been wanting to see Life of Pi for the longest time, seems like such a wonderful film!

I bought Almay color + care liquid lip balm in Pink Pout. I've seen this Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments in Never Fade Jade in an add in a magazine and it looked SO beautiful. I think it will be a great addition to my collection for the summertime and also a great way to colors to my everyday neutral look. :) I've been wanting this CD for quite a while now, I absolutely ADORE Mumford & Sons, this is Babel. Can't wait to listen it! Without thinking, I bought Robin Thicke's album, although I adore Blurred Lines and think it's the song of the summer, I usually never buy a CD to add it to my collection unless I LOVE the band/musician. I haven't heard much about Robin Thicke but I hope his CD won't dissapoint me. Last but not least, I've bought Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover shadow primer which I'm super stocked about because it's pretty rare to find cheap drugstore alternative to high end primer, so hope it's worth it!

Here's a close up of the beauty products I bought. If you want any review on the products I bought please leave in the comments below.
I hope you enjoyed this post that featured more than beauty. Altough I'm obsessed with beauty, I like other things! :) Other than that, I hope you're all having/had a lovely day... here it's been raining all day which is kinda annoying (specially when it's on your day off!) but atleast I did a lil shopping to cheer me up! :) Xx

Rimmel Apocalips: Celestial and Big Bang // Review

Hi lovelies! They are FINALLY available in Canada. I bought products I've been waiting forever to put my hands on the Rimmel Apocalips. I bought two but I want more!! The two I bought are Celestial and Big Bang.

I would describe the Rimmel Apocalips as melted lipstick (feels like a lipgloss, but has the coverage of a lipstick), but Rimmel claims it's the rich colour of a lipstick enhanced by a satin smooth shine & that it's neither a gloss or lipstick. The texture is like a velvety lip cream. The consistency of these products is great, it's super creamy and opaque. Super pigmented and creamy. The application is amazing. No problem at all with stickiness.

The packaging, name, formula and color selection is what made me buy the product! Never judge a book by the cover, they say, but I was pleasantly happy with these product! The smell remind me of cucumbers, it's an okay smell in my opinion.

The lasting power/color payoff of the Apocalips is amazing! It last a long time. Altough the glossy finish fades away throughout the day the color will last for a while.  What you see in the tube is what you will get on your lips, maybe even a bit more pigmented!!

In my collection of Apocalips at the moment I have two:

Celestial-
A pink mauve which a great neutral/every day/wearable color.

Big Bang
The perfect classic bright red with blue undertones. SUPER pigmented.

Overall, I can say that I am truly obsessed with Rimmel's Apocalips and that I actually want the whole collection of 8 shades. (wishful thinking) They we're so worth the long wait! I'm super stocked on these little gems!

Currently loving

Hi beauties! Hope your week has started right. I have a busy week! Ah :( Anyways, today I will be doing a post about things that I have been loving using.

Recently I've been loving natural makeup, using my Revlon Lash Potion mascara, it's a great mascara that gives volume and lenght, I haven't been wearing that much eyeshadow, but instead of using my using my usual black eyeliner I've switched to brown, using Revlon Colorstay Creme Gel Eyeliner in Brown, to be honest it's not the best gel eyeliner I've used. It's not easy to work with and the color won't stick that well. Anyways, I love the look brown gel eyeliner, if you guys have any recommendation please do let me know, cause I really like it! To complete the natural eye look, I've been using Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude on my waterline. Looks way more natural than white! I just love the look of it. With the same eye look, I've been loving using Revlon Pink In The Afternoon (warm pink shade with a hint of coral) and Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade (mixture between baby pink and coral/peach shade).

Under 15 minutes make up

Hi beauties! Lately I've been super busy and have had no time to actually take time to do/experiment with my make up (which I love doing!). So I will be explaining you how I reach a make up that looks like you've spent alot of time on it, but it will just take 15 minutes! This look will feature a flawless, natural face and one eye product that can make a wonderful eye look on its own.
#1) Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla #2) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer #3) Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder #4) Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia #5) Lise Watier Sweet Lips Yummy Lip Balm in Berries #6)Benefit They're Real Mascara #7) Maybelline Master Duo Eyeliner

First off, I apply my Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. If I am not in a big rush, I will blend it in with Real Techniques brush. Then I apply my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on my under eyes circle and imperfections. To set my foundation and concealer, I am using my current go to powder that I absolutely adore: Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder. Then, I move on to the eyes. So if I'm running late I don't want to take alot of time doing eye makeup, but as an eyeshadow lover, I don't feel right without something on my eyelids. Lately I've been picking out Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia which I absolutely adore, just sweep it across your lids and it looks like you've took a few extra minutes to do your makeup! I usually apply this at the beginning: Lise Watier Sweet Lips in Berries, which is nice pick me up in the morning: such a lovely smell and super moisturizing. I actually apply eyeliner before mascara; but the mascara I've been using lately is Benefit They're Real. And last but not least: eyeliner. This part may be hard to do if you're an a rush and a beginner but the Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Eyeliner is great, I barely never mess up my eyeliner, which is always a plus early in the morning, right?

April favorites

Hi lovelies! Crazy how this year is going by! Can't believe it, feels like just yesterday it was January. In the month of April, I've been sick for almost like 3-4 weeks. So glad to be feeling better! So I haven't had the chance to experiment with a lot of makeup, so I'm sorry about that.

Revlon Brow Fantasy in Brunette: I really believe that doing your brows can frame/change your makeup. This includes pencil and a colored brow gel. If you're eyebrows are pale like me, or you just want more definition; this will be your best friend - two steps and voilà! It will make your eyebrows stand more while still looking natural, if that makes any sense.

Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude: This is great to wear on the waterline. It does not stay on all day but there's no eyeliner this color on the market (I think) so for the price, we can't complain.

Maybelline Masterduo by Eyestudio liquid eyeliner: This dual tip eyeliner is great for cat eyes/winged eyeliner. A super pigmented black and glossy eyeliner. You can use either the flat disc side for a thick dramatic line or just turn it around and get a more sophisticated thin line.

Benefit They're Real mascara:  One of my all time favorite mascara. I'm almost out of this and I'm gonna buy the full size once I run out. This is such a jet-black/glossy mascara. Volume/length. The custom-domed is one thing that makes this mascara outstanding: you can get precise applications for those tiny lashes you can't usually get.

Maybelline Vivids: I love these! They are perfect for Spring/Summer. For now, I have two: Fuchsia Flash and Pink Pop. I don't want to do a mini review right now, cause I plan on doing a full review soon - I want some more! What are your favorites?

Lise Watier: Ombre Soufflé Supreme in Taupe Fantasia: Lise Watier, I believe, is a brand that is only sold in Canada. This, is such an unique product. Never anything quite like it yet: Long lasting eyeshadow part cream/part mousse. It's a light airy formula.

Physicians Formula eyeshadow palette in Nude: This palette comes with 9 eyeshadow, separated by sections of 3 to create 3 different looks, but you can surely mix and match and create your own looks. This palette contains neutral/nude eyeshadows. When you swatch them they don't seem that pigmented but all together they look gorgeous!

Evian Facial Spray: I went through 2-3 bottles of these. I always get great deals on them! This facial spray moisturizes, refreshes and tones. It can also help to fix makeup. This is a great facial spray, especially for the Spring/Summer, I recommend it to everyone.

Hope you enjoyed my April favorites. What did you liked using during the month of April? x

March favorites

Hi beauties! Wow, already time for another favorites of the month! I feel like this year is gonna go by fast, kinda scary. But anyways, here is the thing I've been loving in March! Hope you enjoy!

Lip products:
L'Oréal Balm Colour Riche in Heavenly Berry: I love berry colored lipstick. This is very sheer so it's great for everyday use and moisturizes at the same time.

Maybelline Color Whisper: This is like a ''my lips but better'' color. It's perfect for everyday use. The formula is light, which is awesome for spring. Love them. I plan on doing a full review on those soon, so watch out for that!

Buxom lipgloss in Creamsicle: If you don't know this yet: I'm a big coral fan. Especially during the Spring and Summer. I really like this gloss.

Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude: This is pretty much all over the beauty community and for a good reason; it's so pretty on the waterline and it brightens up the eyes.

Wet N' Wild blush in Heather Silk: Really a pretty blush and it adds a nice glow to the skin. Super pigmented also.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette: This is the newest Naked palette from UD, includes mostly matte shades. For some reason, I've been really liking matte eyeshadows and this is a great palette.

Origins Drink Up 10 minute mask to quench skin's thirst: I've been having trouble with dry skin lately. This has been a great for that. I apply it for 10 minutes on clean skin then rinse it off and I have smoother skin. You can also put it on overnight and wash it off in the morning (still need to try that). It has a great smell, also!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla: This is a great foundation. Feels light on skin while having some coverage. Great for Spring!

Benefit Watt's Up! Highlighter: This is a great highlighter with a champagne glow. I love how I can notice the glow but it's not too much. I plan on buying the full size when I'm done with my beauty insider gift.

Maybelline Color tattoo in Barely Beige: This is a soft beige color with a golden frost finish! Been using it everyday. Versatile cream shadow.

Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia: I think that the brand Lise Watier is a brand you can only get in Canada. This is one of the most unique eyeshadow 'cream' I've seen. It's  long lasting eyeshadow part cream/part mousse. Light airy formula, gives a great glow for luminous eyes. What a great product, Lise Watier!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: Who hasn't heard of this amazing product? This is the best primer ever, it makes eyeshadow stay on ALL DAY, absolutely no creasing and makes colors appear more vibrant!

Benefit mascara They're real!: I love this mascara. I will surely buy the full size when I'm out of this. Jet-black, glossy mascara that curls, volumizes and seperates lashes! Volume and length.  What more could you ask for? The custom-domed is one thing that makes this mascara outstanding: you can get precise applications for those tiny lashes you can't usually get.

Perfect red lips for the holidays

This Super Lustrous Lipstick from Revlon in the shade Fire & Ice is what I would call a perfect holiday lips. It's such a vibrant and classic red. You can't go wrong with it.
Bordeaux by Rimmel London is a bordeaux color (like the name said it!), if you would like more of a dark look but still have the holiday glamour. This is the one for you.
If you would prefer something more subtle and more easy to work with. This is a great red lipgloss! Essence XXXL shine lipgloss in the shade True Love is super pigmented and super easy to apply. I would say its a must-have for year-round.
Taylor Swift fan? Search no more, in an interview she said that this lipstick is her go to signature red. It's the Covergirl lipstick in Hot. I always wondered what red lipstick Taylor Swift had as her signature look, and now the secret is out!!
Revlon lip butter in Red Velvet, this is a really good option if you're not used to wear dark lips. Because you can sheer it out; like any other Revlon lip butter. It's a darker red but less darker than Bordeaux by Rimmel.
Baby lips by Maybelline are great for people who are only starting to wear lipstick, especially red lips, this is why Cherry Me, is a great color! If you want something not too dramatic for the holidays, but still have a nice touch of color this is the one for you!
Here are some swatches of them all:

A nail design for the holidays

I think that this nail design is a cute design for the holidays season. The nailpolishes I used are Revlon in Gold Coin and Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Black Satin. The design itself is pretty much explains itself! Hope it inspires you. I will try to do more holidays-related post. xo

What's your favorite trends during the holidays season?
