Update + Question

Hi lovelies!

Ok so, I'm totally in love with my new blog design. I did it myself and I'm proud. What do you guys think of it? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. :)

I have a question, you know on the right side, my profile picture; how do I make it bigger? Let me know in the comments or email (my address is sparklethiscityxo@hotmail.com)

On another note, I feel like I'm getting better at posting weekly, it's becoming more of a natural thing for me to blog, so I'm happy for that. I will probably post today or soon enough, cause I have alot of ideas. If you have any ideas/requests for me please put them in the comments and I will try to do it!

I would also like to say thank you to all my followers for reading my posts and commenting, it truly means alot to me! Hope you're all having a nice week and day! X

Caroline

My top five spring nail polishes

Hi beauties! I don't know about you, but when Spring comes around all I want to wear is pastel! I want to get all the pastel colors of nail polishes. What can I say, spring = pastels. So today I will show you 5 nail polishes from my collection that I love to use during the Spring season.

#1) OPI Mod about you: You want the perfect pink-lavender shade? You got it. Mod about you looks like nothing I have in my nail polish collection. This pale/pastel/ baby pink nail polish is very easy to work with. Not sheer at all, super opaque and creamy. Great formula,  Dries quickly. It's a bright nail polish while still being subtle, if that makes sense? This is my go-to nail polish and I will def repurchase.

#2) Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac: Lilac is one of those colors that defines Spring for me. As the name says, it's a lilac color; a very pretty one! For me, this is the perfect lilac color. Doesn't chip for like a week. Gorgeous and pigmented.

#3) Essie Bikini So Teeny: I believe that this was part of essie's summer collection last summer. Correct me if I'm wrong. So I don't know if it's still available. As all essie's nail polish I LOVE the colors they put (plus the bottles are super cute), but I'm not a big fan of the formula. So hard to work with and takes FOREVER to dry. But as I said I'm a big fan of this color, a rich periwinkle blue, and no matter how streaky, coats and time it takes to dry; the color is beautiful, so.

#4) Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet: What can I say? This is the perfect mint color. Love the application, dries quickly. Does not chip easily. Opaque. As you can see I've used up this baby, and I will repurchase as soon as I used it up. Such a great nail polish at a low price.

#5) China Glaze For Audrey: I love this Tiffany blue color. It's the perfect Tiffany blue. A lovely shade of turquoise going more towards the blue side.  It's not warm or cool: I would say that it's neutral. An eyecatching color without being too much. The formulation I'm not so happy about, kinda streaky. Does not chip easily. Overall, happy with the color, not too much for the formulation.

Here are swatches of the five nail polishes:

Thanks for reading! Hope you're all having a lovely week!! xx

Review | Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Tipsy

Hi lovelies! Hope you're all having an amazing week! I've been sick for over a week (still am, but much better, so yay for that!) Today I will be review a blush from Tarte in Tipsy.

This blush, Tipsy, is a matte coral. In the pan it might seem scary, but it's not. It's super pigmented, with ton of color pay-off while still remaining sheer, if that makes sense? The formula is super easy to work with, super soft. I believe that the formula would be good for any skin types. No matter what anyone might say I love the packaging. I think it's super cute.

As it claims, it last all-day. It's one of my favorite blush for Spring/Summer or any season for that matter. It looks GREAT with a tan. (which I'm totally not right now ugh). For light skin, I believe that it may be too pigmented unless it's applied with a very light hand.

Here are swatches applied heavily:

If you're looking for a great coral blush the Spring/Summer, stop looking! This might be the one for you! I was super pleased with this product and I would like another Tarte blush, possibly in "Exposed".

Do you like my new background aka tissue to display my lovely makeup? :) I love it!! On another note, I'm super happy, I've been posting more on my blog! Yay me! Finding tips and tricks to save time/using it wisely is great! :)

What's your favorite Tarte blush?

Nailpolish duo | Maybelline & Hard Candy

Hi! Today I will be doing a review of two nail polishes: Hard Candy Black Tie Optional & Maybelline Born With It.

Maybelline ''Born With It''

Sorry for the bluriness of the pic. Born with it is basicly a very very light pink. Almost white. I've been looking for a perfect light pink nail polish, but this is not the right one. It was very sheer until 3-4 coats, very hard to apply and took forever to dry. I mean the color is beautiful but I'm not impressed about the formulation. Meanwhile I will still be on the lookout for the perfect light pink nail polish, any suggestions?

Hard Candy "Black Tie Optional"

Once again, sorry for the blurriness. I have a love-hate relationship with glitter nailpolishes, because it's so hard to remove. It has five sizes of black and white glitter and black string glitters. I have applied it heavily by mistake, I think that it would look better with less coats and a bright color. I don't know if it's due to the fact that I've applied so much but it did not chip at all. Apart from the fact that it takes forever to remove, this is a great nailpolish and also a similar dupe to L'Oreal Confetti Top Coat (minus the different sizes of glitter and black string glitters) for cheaper! The nailpolish Hard Candy are coming out with seems so amazing! I want them all!

March favorites

Hi beauties! Wow, already time for another favorites of the month! I feel like this year is gonna go by fast, kinda scary. But anyways, here is the thing I've been loving in March! Hope you enjoy!

Lip products:
L'Oréal Balm Colour Riche in Heavenly Berry: I love berry colored lipstick. This is very sheer so it's great for everyday use and moisturizes at the same time.

Maybelline Color Whisper: This is like a ''my lips but better'' color. It's perfect for everyday use. The formula is light, which is awesome for spring. Love them. I plan on doing a full review on those soon, so watch out for that!

Buxom lipgloss in Creamsicle: If you don't know this yet: I'm a big coral fan. Especially during the Spring and Summer. I really like this gloss.

Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude: This is pretty much all over the beauty community and for a good reason; it's so pretty on the waterline and it brightens up the eyes.

Wet N' Wild blush in Heather Silk: Really a pretty blush and it adds a nice glow to the skin. Super pigmented also.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette: This is the newest Naked palette from UD, includes mostly matte shades. For some reason, I've been really liking matte eyeshadows and this is a great palette.

Origins Drink Up 10 minute mask to quench skin's thirst: I've been having trouble with dry skin lately. This has been a great for that. I apply it for 10 minutes on clean skin then rinse it off and I have smoother skin. You can also put it on overnight and wash it off in the morning (still need to try that). It has a great smell, also!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla: This is a great foundation. Feels light on skin while having some coverage. Great for Spring!

Benefit Watt's Up! Highlighter: This is a great highlighter with a champagne glow. I love how I can notice the glow but it's not too much. I plan on buying the full size when I'm done with my beauty insider gift.

Maybelline Color tattoo in Barely Beige: This is a soft beige color with a golden frost finish! Been using it everyday. Versatile cream shadow.

Lise Watier Ombre Soufflé Suprême in Taupe Fantasia: I think that the brand Lise Watier is a brand you can only get in Canada. This is one of the most unique eyeshadow 'cream' I've seen. It's  long lasting eyeshadow part cream/part mousse. Light airy formula, gives a great glow for luminous eyes. What a great product, Lise Watier!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: Who hasn't heard of this amazing product? This is the best primer ever, it makes eyeshadow stay on ALL DAY, absolutely no creasing and makes colors appear more vibrant!

Benefit mascara They're real!: I love this mascara. I will surely buy the full size when I'm out of this. Jet-black, glossy mascara that curls, volumizes and seperates lashes! Volume and length.  What more could you ask for? The custom-domed is one thing that makes this mascara outstanding: you can get precise applications for those tiny lashes you can't usually get.

Empties #1

Hi beauties! Missed you all so much! Goal for April: write moooore posts! Hopefully nothing will get in the way this time, cause I love blogging. :)

I'm so excited to show you some of empties that have been sitting in my MAC bag just waiting for me to write this post! So, let's go.

Make up remover wipes (Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, Nivea Aqua Effect Gentle Cleansing Wipes, Maybelline Clean Express! Makeup Remover): I was impressed with all of them and I would repurchase all of them. They all did a great job at removing makeup but the one that stood out the most to me was the Nivea one. But all in all they're all really great makeup remover.

TRESemmé Rejuvenating Mud Masque: Since I've tried Macademia Deep Repair Masque all drugstore hair masque seems to do nothing for me. Or a huge difference, let's put it this way. Btw, it has a great smell.

Tarte Clean State Flawless 12-hr brightening primer: This was a good primer, I haven't tried that much face primer to say this is one of the best. But it was a good product for the time it lasted. I need to try more Tarte products.

Maybelline Dream Lumi: I feel like I was expecting too much from this highlighting concealer since everybody raves about it. I would say it was a decent concealer, but I did not notice anything major about highlighting/brightening.

EOS hand cream: This was a very nice hand cream. Not thick, very light with good hydratation and a very good smell. As all EOS products, very cute packaging also. I will probably repurchase once I finish the hand creams I currently have.

Nivea Pure & Natural Body Milk/Face care tester: I always seem to forget about my testers. Those were good but I don't think about purchasing them anytime soon.

Covergirl Clean Foundation: If you're in the market for a cheap foundation, this is a great option.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation: I don't get how so many people LOVE this foundation. I don't hate it, but I  just don't think it's worth all the attention that it's getting, way too liquidy (don't you see how messy the bottle is?) like seriously, ain't nobody got time for that. Also I love having coverage but with this I feel like I'm wearing a mask which is not very my thing, okay! But I mean I don't hate it, just not my ultimate favorite like everybody else.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution: I'm sure you've all heard about this, but it's such an amazing product. I won't say much, but it's the best makeup remover/cleanser, literally removes everything.

Bath & Body Works Vanilla Beam Noel Shower Gel: The smell of this is the BOMB! I can't describe it, it's like cozy, well all I can say is that it's magical. I will buy this every year during the holidays cause I love it that much. Enough said.

Rimmel Gentle Eye Make Up Remover: For the price, it does a good job. This isn't my first time buying this and I will surely repurchase sometime soon.

Now that I have used up some product I can buy some more! YAAY! #bloggerprobs
